Polypropylene (PP) – Textile Fiber
Polypropylene (PP) textile fibers are produced in thicknesses between 3 and 15 denier, lengths from 12 to 130 mm, and in white and black colors.
One of the advantages of polypropylene fibers is their high specific volume, which allows textile materials produced with the needle-punching technique to be more voluminous. The great resistance of polypropylene fiber to chemicals, weather conditions and bacteria allows products produced with this fiber to be more comprehensive.
PP fiber is mostly used in the production of carpets and carpetflex in the textile sector, in the production of carpet yarn, in the production of geotextile fabrics, but it is also used in the production of nets and fishing lines in the fishing sector, in the production of ropes, greenhouse yarns etc. used in the agricultural sector, and in the production of products such as yarns, sacks and nets used in the packaging sector.
